At TWISPER, we know some pretty great lakes for you to visit. Let’s take a look at 5 stunning lakes in Europe to help you make up your mind! I’ll also share some tips on where to eat, sleep & drink while enjoying fabulous lake views.

Lake Annecy, France

Lake Annecy is Europe’s cleanest lake thanks to the strict environmental regulations put in place about 50 years ago. Popular for swimming and watersports, Annecy’s lakewater comes from melted alpine glaciers.

There are many beautiful towns and resorts around the lake, but the city of Annecy itself is always a good choice! The beautiful old town, with its pastel-colored houses and charming cobbled streets, is an idyllic place, and the atmosphere reminds you of the city’s medieval past.
